Purchase Celebrates Black History Month

Several students met twice last semester and once this semester to brainstorm events for Black History Month.  Thank you to the planning meeting participants: Sydney Dupree, Nina Rodriguez, Kiana Livingston, Jada Cheek, Kukuwa Ashun, Sundiatta Small, Jovan Tyler-Graham, Ahtiya Liles, and Marcus Jamison.

Events are being held in the Multicultural Center in Fort Awesome and campus wide.  As you will see in the calendar, our planning team believes in celebrating Black History Month beyond the month of February and we included events taking place in March. Check out programs hosted by the O.A.P.I.A. (Organization of African Peoples in the Americas), SOCA (Student Organization of Caribbean Ancestry), Library, Conservatory of Music, OCE, Intramurals and more partners.
