The Multicultural Center over 15 events taking place in Fort Awesome and on campus. Join us for a student club meeting or events (such as The Real Story of Superheroes in the Museum on 04/18), or events organized by students (such as Her Natural Crown Screening on 04/21) and in collaboration with campus partners (such as Art of Internment on 04/25 with guest artists).

04/18 The Real Story of Superheroes with Dulce Pinzon, Don Bosco Worker’s Center, and faculty Patrice Giasson and Leandro Benmergui 12:30-2:10 at the Neuberger Museum of Art

04/18 Earth Week Speaker: Karen Johnson 6:30-8:30pm Admissions Buffer Room. Join us for a free catered reception at 6:30pm and at 7:30pm the speaker will discuss food justice, the urban farming experience and her efforts to create support networks like Black Urban Growers (BUGS).

04/19 Purchase van goes to Yonkers: Learn & Develop Skills to Transform Communities hosted by Westchester for Change, Indivisible Westchester & WESPAC. Van leaves at 5pm. Returns at 9:45pm. Sign up by 4/17 to ceg.multicultural.center@purchase.edu

04/25 Art of Internment 2:30-4:30 pm Humanities Theater. On the 75th anniversary of the closing of the Japanese internment camps, this program will examine the executive order that created the camps during World War II, the art and crafts created in them, and how internees coped with their mass detention. Sponsored by Multicultural Center & Windgate Artist in Residence Program and with support from MA in Modern and Contemporary Art, Criticism and Theory.
